Police Investigate Fatal Mother's Day Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting after a man who found dead in a car in Bridgeport.

Investigators are trying to figure out who opened fire on a car near an intersection in Bridgeport, killing a 22-year-old man inside the vehicle.

Police responding to a report of gunfire near the intersection of Berkshire and Noble avenues found a parked sedan with several bullet holes on its left, front window and door and Robert Rivera, of Bridgeport, suffering from several gunshot wounds inside the vehicle.

Police spokesman William Kaempffer said emergency medical workers pronounced Rivera dead at the scene.

Kaempffer said no one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
