82-Year-Old Man Struck by Car in Wethersfield

Jordan Lane was shut down for hours in Wethersfield after a pedestrian was struck by a car Tuesday evening.

Police are investigating after an 82-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car in Wethersfield on Tuesday evening.

It happened around 5:50 p.m. on Jordan Lane in the area of Buckland Street, according to police.

The pedestrian has been identified as David Holliday, 82, of Wethersfield.

He suffered serious injuries, police said.

Police said the driver, Gaylene Sudao, 72, of South Windsor, stopped immediately. She was not hurt and is cooperating with police.

Jordan Lane was closed between the Silas Deane Highway and Wolcott Hill Road for several hours while authorities investigated and worked to clear the scene.
