Police have identified the suspect in the shooting of a man at a New Britain apartment complex Wednesday night and they are searching for him.
Police are searching for Rafael Alcaraz, 25, of New Britain, and said he shot and critically injured a man at 18 Farmington Ave.
Police have not identified the victim, but said they found him when officers responded to the apartment complex around 8 p.m.
The victim was transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
Officers searched the apartment on Thursday and obtained a warrant for Alcarez.
