Nearly 1,200 UConn students have been affected by a partial power outage at two of the school’s on-campus housing facilities in Storrs.

Charter Oak Apartments and Busby Suites are without power due to an equipment problem in the North Hillside Road area of campus, according to university spokesperson Stephanie Reitz.

Students were able to remain in their rooms.

Other buildings in the North Hillside Road area are also without power, including the police and fire complex, which are currently running on generator power.

There is no estimate on when power will be restored, but crews are working to fix the problem, according to Reitz.
