Slippery Conditions Cause Problems on Morning Commute

Slippery conditions are causing some problems on the roads Monday morning.

Some sleet, freezing rain and rain could create some wet and icy spots on the roads, with a winter weather advisory in effect until 4 p.m. Monday.

A minor crash on Route 8 south near exit 11 is causing delays back to exit 12, according to NBC Connecticut Traffic Reporter Heidi Voight.

Warren Street is closed at Lockwood Avenue in Stamford due to a fiery multi-vehicle crash involving three to four cars. Motorists can take Myrtle Avenue as a detour.

There are some delays on Interstate 95 south as traffic picks up.
