State and local police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured one person at 63 Windham Center Road in Windham Tuesday night.
The shooting happened at about 10 p.m. One person was shot and transported to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound. The victim was conscious, state police said.
“City police are aware of the incident," Willimantic Police Cpl. Stan Parizo said. "We will be assisting the state police in any manner requested should they request it.”
No further information was immediately available.
