Fairfield Death Was a Suicide: Police

Police are investigating a suspicious death in Fairfield.

Fairfield police have identified the man found dead on Chambers Street Monday morning.

The body of Daniel Pirron, 57, was found in the parking lot of Universal Thread Grinding at 30 Chambers Street around 7:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

Initially police believed the death was suspicious and began an investigation.  Pirron's body was taken to the medical examiner where it was determined he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
