Teen Sentenced in String of Fires in Enfield

An Enfield teenager accused of setting several fires around town was sentenced Friday on arson charges after pleading guilty to arson charges in January.

Eighteen-year-old Davidson Izzo is was sentenced to 13 years in prison, suspended after five years. He will get credit for the nearly two years he's been jailed since his arrest

Under an agreement, Izzo, of Enfield, pleaded guilty to setting two fires, including at a barn behind a home in November 2014.

A fire officer brought a woman who was inside the home to safety. Prosecutors said a cellphone video of the fire captured Izzo running from the scene.

The other fire occurred at another barn in January 2015. One person was treated for smoke inhalation.

Izzo’s attorney said his client was originally charged on five separate counts, reached a plea deal and plead guilty on two counts of arson. The other three counts were dropped.
