Police have charged a woman with setting fire to an apartment building in Norwich.
Denise Djedje, 20, of Norwich, was arrested Tuesday. According to police, Djedje set fire to an apartment building at 38 Spaulding Street may 7. The fire caused moderate damage to the building, police said.
Investigators from the Norwich Police Department, the Norwich Fire Marshal's Office and the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit determined the fire was arson, and applied for an arrest warrant for Djedje.
Police did not say what led them to Djedje as a suspect.
Djedje was charged with first-degree arson and first degree criminal mischief. She was held on $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court Wednesday.
