UConn Football Captain Busted at Spring Fling

When mass amounts of people are getting arrested on the campus of University of Connecticut, you know Spring Weekend is underway.
UConn linebacker and co-captain Scott Lutrus, 21, was among 19 students who were arrested as the weekend of partying just before final exams kicked off.
The arrest came the day after Lutrus turned 21, according to the birth date on the police report. Earlier this month he was also named one of four captains of the UConn football team for next season.
According to UConn police reports Lutrus and his 23-year-old brother Kyle were involved in a fight outside of Celeron Square, off-campus apartments, when they began to fight the officers who tried to break it up.
Scott Lutrus, a graduate of Brookfield High School, was charged with interfering with an officer. His brother was charged with interfering with an officer and second-degree breach of peace.
He led UConn's football team with 106 tackles last season. His case was continued to May 18.
Nikita Guryakov, of Hamden, a 19-year-old student, was arrested Thursday night, accused of assaulting two UConn police officers.Guryakov is being held on $100,000 bond and will be arraigned Friday in Rockville Superior Court.
The police officers were sent to the hospital with minor injuries to their face and head.
There were 35 medical calls and 18 people were taken to the hospital to be treated for intoxication. Thursday night, 104 tickets were issued for motor vehicle violations.
