Company Brews Dog-Friendly “Beer”

Now pet owners can offer their dogs a drink.

Drink up Fido.

A Seattle-based company has developed a dog-friendly “Bowser Beer” to go with their line of pooch pretzel treats.

Bowser Beer does not contain hops or alcohol, which are both harmful to man’s best friend. The company has formulated instead a meat broth with barley, vitamins and healthy-joint-promoting glucosamine, Bowser Beer creator Jenny Brown told the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

"It's for the celebration of the dog days of summer," she told the paper.

Two Bowser Beer flavors now on the market are called “Beefy Brown Ale” and “Cock-a-Doodle-Brew.” The company also allows dog owners to customize their labels.
