7/26: Gin, Jazz and Gourmet Food

FULL-FLAVORED: While you're in Hartford you might as well eat, right? Good thing the Taste of Hartford begins tonight. Dozens of restaurants are offering three-course meals for just $20.10. Get it? Because it's 2010. (We know most of you got it without the explanation, that was just for the few of you that didn't, and you know who you are). Reservations are recommended since many of the establishments will be busy. You can see the full list of restaurants here, or check out a slideshow of some of the delectable food below. Taste of Hartford runs through August 8.

JEALOUS AGAIN: Ok, that's someone else's song, but the Gin Blossoms had a huge hit with "Hey Jealousy" back in the early 90s. You can hear them play it tonight at Infinity Hall in Norfolk. The group was far from one-hit wonders. Remember "Allison Road" and "Found Out About You"? So if you're in the mood for a little 90s nostalgia, head to the 8 p.m. show. Tickets are $60 or $80.

COOL JAZZ: If a little jazz is more your speed, head to Bushnell Park in Hartford for the latest installment of the Hartford Jazz Society's Monday Night Jazz. The night kicks off at 6 p.m. with the Brandee Younger Trio. It's not your typical jazz either -- she plays the harp!! That's followed up by Carolyn Leonhart with the Wayne Escoffery Quintet at 7:30 p.m. The best part? It's free.
