Scarecrows are a sure sign that fall is here. Tonight head to Old Wethersfield to see them line the streets in a celebration of the season.

SCARE IS IN THE AIR:  You won't be seeing many crows flying around Wethersfield for the next few weeks.  The town is getting into the fall spirit by propping up a plethora of scarecrows.  The straw-men and -women will be on display all along Old Wethersfield's Main Street (established all the way back in 1634).  The event, running through October 25, is sure to put you into the New England fall spirit.

ARE YOU READY?:  It's Monday Night, and that means it's your last chance until the weekend to hang out with the guys (or ladies), and watch grown men hitting each other for ungodly amounts of money.  Celebrate Monday Night Football at David Burke Prime at Foxwoods.  Each week, they're offering a Samuel Adams Monday Night Football Menu, complete with tailgate favorites with a twist.  It's $35, and the first Sam is free.  (And if you were wondering, this week features the Cowboys and the Panthers

L'CHAIM!:  Be nice to your Jewish friends tonight, because they're most likely pretty hungry.  Yom Kippur ends at sundown, and that means there'll be a rush to the Break Fast table.  Chabad Lubavitch of Northwest Connecticut is inviting everyone to an uplifting Yom Kippur Closing Service and Break of Fast at the Litchfield Inn.  Enjoy songs, stories and a grand buffet to close out the High Holidays.  Click here for more info.
