Quick: Who could be an even less likely brother to Danny DeVito than Arnold Schwarzenegger?
How about Eddie Murphy?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, that's what Universal and Montecito Picture Co. are planning for a sequel to 1988's DeVito-Schwarzenegger pairing "Twins" — this one titled, of course, "Triplets."
In the 1988 comedy, DeVito and Schwarzenegger played fraternal twins who were conceived with the help of a genetic experiment and separated at birth.
In the follow-up, according to the Reporter, Eddie Murphy would be their long-lost brother.
There's no director picked out yet, but "Twins" director Ivan Reitman is slated to produce, according to the magazine's sources, who added that Reitman and other producers Joe Medjuk, Tom Pollock and Ali Bell are looking for writers.
The sources said there haven't been any major creative discussions yet.
"American Reunion" Hollywood Premiere
DeVito recently voiced the titular character in "The Lorax," which is cleaning up at the box office.
Murphy's last big role was in 2006's hit musical "Dreamgirls." Schwarzenegger's was as governor of California.
