A Branford woman has died in a car crash on Interstate 91.
A car and a Department of Transportation vehicle were involved in the crash just before 2 p.m. Tuesday near exit 14 in Wallingford. Mary Boyle, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Boyle's car crashed into a parked state dump truck Tuesday. The dump truck was parked on the left side of the highway to warn motorists that crews were cutting the grass along the median, according to the Department of Transportation.
All southbound lanes of I-91 were closed shortly after the crash. Northbound traffic was not stopped. By 5 p.m., all lanes were again open.
