1 of 2 Brothers Wanted for Murder Arrested

Kunta and Quan Soyini are accused of shooting and killing Chimar Gordon by a Hartford elementary school.

Hartford police have arrested one of two brothers wanted for a murder that took place in a school parking lot.

Kunta Soyini, 34, and his 37-year-old brother, Quan Soyini are accused of killing Chimar Gordon on July 10.

Police arrested Quan at 101 Lafayette Street, police said.

He is being booked and bond is set at $1 million.

Investigators are stil looking for Kunta.

Gordon was found lying in the parking lot at the Thirman Milner Elementary School around 10:30 a.m. on July 10.

Summer school was in session at the time of the shooting and the shooting prompted officials to place the school on lock-in. No students or staff witnessed the incident, according to police.

Homicide detectives were able to identify the Soyini brothers as suspects, but did not say what led them to the pair.

Quan Soyini faces charges of murder, conspiracy to commit and aiding and abetting.

Kunta Soyini will be charged with murder and carrying a dangerous weapon when he is captured.
