2 Charged, 1 Sought in Gym Thefts Case

Police charged Brenden Browne, 22, of East Windsor, on Tuesday and charged Stephanie Maura, 25, of Broad Brook, on Monday.

Glastonbury police have arrested two people in connection with thefts from gym lockers and are looking for one more person.

Police charged Brenden Browne, 22, of East Windsor, on Tuesday and charged Stephanie Maura, 25, of Broad Brook, on Monday.  They said they are still looking for Tomiese Mason, of South Windsor, who we are still seeking in this case.

Police said Browne, Maura and one other person stole car keys from gym lockers in October 2011, used them to enter cars in the parking lot, stole credit cards and used those cards fraudulently.

Maura was charged with six counts of third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, seven counts of credit card theft, five counts of illegal use of a credit card, criminal attempt to illegally use a credit card, fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny in the fourth degree.

Bond was set at $10,000 surety and she is due in court on April 25.

Browne was charged with six counts of conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree conspiracy to commit credit card theft, five counts of conspiracy to commit illegal use of a credit card and conspiracy to commit larceny in the fourth degree.

Bond was set at $60,000 surety and he is due in court on Tuesday.
