Puff, a dog that had been missing for 12 days, is now safe and back with her owner, thanks to a group that rescued her in Woodbury this morning.
Puff was stuck in a storm drain and is now free, with just a scrape on her back, Cindy Edgar, the dog's owner, said.
Edgar said she was walking her 14-year-old Black Labrador mix on September 21, unhooked the leash for a moment and Puff took off.
Edgar has spend the last 12 days looking for Puff and the search came to a happy end t his morning, when Holly Pinto, of West Chevrolet, heard Puff crying, witnesses said.
She called animal control and the rescue mission began.
Animal control saw Puff in a drain on Main Street and managed to get her free.
The dog finally emerged, tail wagging.
