Barn Fire in Simsbury

No one was hurt.

Firefighters responded to a barn fire in Simsbury.

Fire officials said there is a well-involved fire at 360 West Mountain Road. Firefighters had to ferry water from the closest hydrants, then pump it up a long driveway to douse the detached garage.

It was reported shortly before 10 a.m. on Monday. It is not known if anything is in the barn.

No one was injured and the fire was out by 11 a.m.

There were two fires in the house two years ago.

The fire department responded to a call at the house at same address on Jan. 10, 2010 for a chimney fire, according to the Web page for the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company.
