A man is dead after a shooting in Bridgeport Saturday morning.
Bridgeport police spokesman Av Harris confirms a male victim was shot at the corner of Maple and Kossuth Streets around 10 a.m.
He was pronounced dead on scene. He was identified as 22-year-old Khali Davis.
Harris said it appears Davis was standing in front of the Maple Deli Mini Market when a shooter opened fire. Davis fled into the store and collapsed.
This is the city's 23rd homicide of the year.
The investigation is ongoing.
