Spinouts, School Delays and Closings After Storm

There were hundreds of school delays and some closings Wednesday after a combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain caused some issues on the roads.

As of 6:45 a.m., there were more than 500 school delays and some closures, including Hartford Public Schools, which canceled classes for the day while crews work to clear up from the storm.

In Hartford, there were 300 vehicles towed for violating the parking ban and 533 parking tickets issued for parking and snow-related violations.

Across the state Tuesday, snow, sleet, and freezing rain made travel treacherous for drivers.
