Police have arrested a man in connection with an October robbery and kidnapping in Hamden.
According to police, the 19-year-old victim told them that on Oct. 5, 2018, he set up an encounter with a prostitute on State Street, but when he arrived, he was approached by two men.
The men said they had a gun and robbed the victim of $140, before forcing the teen into his car and driving him around to ATMs to take out more money, the victim told police.
The suspects stole an additional $600 before driving the victim to New Haven and letting him go.
On Friday, police arrested 19-year-old Daiquan Hyman, of Hamden, at Meriden Superior Court in connection with the incident.
Hyman is facing several charges, including first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, and second-degree larceny.
He was held on $250,000 bond.
