Hartford Deputy Fire Chief James McLoughlin has been placed on paid administrative leave, according to sources within the city.
The city has declined to comment on the reasoning behind McLoughlin's suspension, which sources say took effect Dec. 10.
Last week, Mayor Pedro Segarra announced the creation of a task force to develop a new code of conduct, review resources and protocol and handle the investigation into the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Kevin Bell.
