One woman is dead and another is in critical condition after a crash in Hartford on Tuesday night.
Police said two women were involved in a crash on Vine Street where the driver took off from the scene.
A 25-year-old, Tina Fontanez, of Hartford, was pronounced dead and 23-year-old Catalina Melendez, also of Hartford, is in critical condition at St. Francis Hospital.
Police said they found the vehicle likely involved in the crash.
The major crimes unit is investigating.
