Killer, Survivor to Speak at Home Invasion Sentencing

Joshua Komisarjevsky and Dr. William Petit will speak in court on Friday.

The man who murdered three women in a 2007 Cheshire home invasion and the only survivor of the violent attack are both expected to address the court during sentencing on Friday.

This will be the second time Joshua Komisarjevsky will speak out during his trial.

His lawyers fought for jurors to hear videotaped testimony from Komisarjevsky’s 9-year-old daughter, but the defendant he made a plea against it.

Dr. William Petit, the sole survivor of the crime, will also make comments.

Komisarjevsky will be joining co-defendant Steven Hayes on death row for killing Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters, Hayley, 17, and Michaela, 11.

Komisarjevsky sexually assaulted Michaela, while Hayes raped and strangled Hawke-Petit to death.

Last month, a jury delivered the death verdict for Komisarjevsky after finding him guilty of the crimes.
