A 4-year-old child and mother were injured in a domestic dispute at a Center Street home in West Haven on Saturday night.
Angel Rolando Carbrera-Montes de Oca is facing multiple charges including risk of injury.
Both were struck and sustained facial injuries. The mother told police that her boyfriend was attacking her while she was holding her child, hitting both of them in the process.
The mother and child were transported to an area hospital to be medically examined, police said.
Police found the boyfriend, soon after in a motel nearby.
West Haven police charged him with assault, risk of injury and disorderly conduct and held him in custody on a bond.
