A New London resident is facing charges after trying to attack another man with a pickax during a fight on Monday, according to police.
Police said 27-year-old Mtume Umrani was involved in a domestic assault with the victim at a home on Hempstead Street in New London. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries from the ax.
Umrani has been charged with second-degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon.
