A neighbor helped save a Hartford family when fire broke out early Wednesday morning.
Hartford fire officials said the fire started in a car and spread to a single-family home on Stanwood Street, near the Hartford-West Hartford line.
A neighbor saw the flames, went to the house, broke the window and alerted the residents.
Everyone made it out safely.
What caused the fire is not known.
