Parking Lot Attendent Shot In Hand

A parking lot attendant was shot in the hand in broad daylight downtown Hartford on Friday afternoon.

According to Hartford Police, the call came in at 2:23 p.m. at a daily parking lot on North Chapel Street.

Police shut down North Chapel Street while they investigated and searched the area for a suspect.

People visiting Hartford said this type of violence is what keeps people out of the city. "There are people who don’t want to come to go to the restaurants, people are concerned about going to the hockey games, its’ really a concern. And what can you do to protect yourself," said Charles Parenchuck of Vernon.

Police believe the motive may have involved a robbery.
