Police Investigate Woodbridge Shooting

Police are investigating an early-morning shooting in Woodbridge in the area of Morris Road and are looking for Patrick Young, age 20, who is suspected.

Police said the incident happened at 1:26 a.m. near the Litchfield Turnpike.

A man and three women were in a car driving down Morris Road when the two female passengers started to argue.

Police said a woman was driving, pulled the car over near the woods, and the man, identified as Young, ordered the two passengers out of the car at gunpoint.

Young, 20, then shot one of the women and he and the driver fled, according to police.

The victim, in her 20s, was shot in the hand and upper torso. The other woman who was with her ran to Route 69, flagged down a passing vehicle and the victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where she is in stable condition, police said.

The two women flagged down a passing car and were able to get help, police said.

Young previously lived in Hartford and has ties to the New Haven area, according to police.

He is 5-feet-7, weighs 150 lbs and has tattoos on his neck.

Police said he was in a dark blue four-door car, possibly a Honda.

Anyone with information on Young's location should call the Woodbridge Police Department at 203-387-2512.

He is considered armed and dangerous and the public should not approach him.
