Rabies Concerns in Windsor

Several incidents involving rabid animals have been reported recently.

People in Windsor are being warned to be on the lookout for rabid animals.

At least four incidents of rabies have been confirmed in Windsor in the past few months and another unconfirmed report of a woman and her dog being bitten by a rabid raccoon, according to police.

Authorities are asking residents to make sure pets are vaccinated against rabies. They are also warning pet owners to not leave their pets unattended outdoors.

Residents who see any sick, injured or aggressive wild animals are asked to call Windsor police at 860-688-5273.
