Advocates Go Viral to Get Their Message Out

Advocates hoping to pass a referendum in South Windsor have gone to YouTube to get the word out.

South Windsor voters will decide on a $117 million plan to renovate the town's elementary schools.

Proponents said using the Internet is a way they can spread their message to far more voters than tradition leaflet campaigns.

They hope, after seeing an explanation of the referendum on YouTube, people will be more likely to vote in favor of it.  The group has posted three of its videos at its website www.swvotes.org
