State to Investigate Triple Murder

On Thanksgiving 2010, three people were found murdered in an East Hartford Home.

The State Victim Advocate office has announced an investigation into the circumstances that led to the triple homicide on November, 25, 2010 in East Hartford.

Attorney Michelle Cruz, who works with the Office of the Victim Advocate (OVA), informed East Hartford Police Chief Mark Sirois that the OVA is investigating facts and circumstances that led to the triple homicide on Thanksgiving day in 2010.

"A cursory review of judicial records, documents and other information establish that the East Hartford Police Department had numerous interactions with Beverly Therrien, one of the three victims, and that they were advised on several occasions of Ms. Therrien's concern for her safety," stated Cruz in a release.

On November 25, 2010, Beverly Therrien, 72, Pamela Johns, 60, and Michael Ramsey, 53, were all found murdered inside Therrien’s home on Naomi Drive.

During the investigation, police did name Therrien’s children, Brett and Candice Bernarz, persons of interest. No charges were ever filed against the two.
