Police are investigating after a girl reported being approached by a suspicious man on Wordin Avenue Monday night.
The girl told police that she was walking in the area of Wordin Avenue when the man pulled up alongside her in white van and made lewd suggestions.
Police said she ran away and flagged down a nearby officer.
Officers went to the P.T. Barnum housing complex around 5 p.m. to talk with the girl and her father, according to police.
Police said they checked the area afterward and couldn't find the van in question.
They are still investigating.
