Tractor Trailer Crash Closes I-95 Lane in Old Saybrook

The right-most lane on Interstate 95 North in Old Saybrook is closed on Monday due to a rollover tractor-trailer crash.

A tractor-trailer veered down an embankment and crashed. The lane was still closed between Exits 66 and 67 as of 6:45 a.m. The Connecticut Department of Transportation received reports of the crash at 5:58 a.m.

There is no word on whether anyone was injured in the crash.

Heavy rain on the I-95 and I-395 corridors is also affecting the morning commute.The DOT is also reporting delays for 3.2 miles between exits 26 and 22 on I-95 South in Fairfield.

Roadwork on I-84 East in Vernon between Exits 64 and 67 could affect your morning drive in that area.

Route 195 in Tolland is closed between Walbridge Hill Road and Route 32  in Mansfield, as well as Route 44 in Mansfield east of Route 195 and Route 320 in Willington between Cisar Road and the Mansfield line due to trees and wires down, according to the DOT.
