Lawyers selected the final juror in the trial of Steven Hayes, one of two men charged in the 2007 deadly home invasion in Cheshire.
With that, the judge set Sept. 13 start date for testimony in the trial.
Hayes and Joshua Komisarjevsky are charged with killing Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters Haley, 17, and Michaela, 11, in July of 2007. Both men have pleaded not guilty to capital felony, murder, sexual assault, and several other charges that could bring the death penalty if convicted.
Dr. William Petit, the lone survivor of the attack, said the jury seems balanced. He said he's happy the jury selection proceedings are over.
Komisarjevsky will be tried after the completion of the Hayes trial.
