Two New Haven Men Killed In Triple Shooting

New Haven Police are investigating a triple shooting that left two men dead on Saturday night.

Officers responded to 24 Front St. around 9:30 p.m. and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest.

Michael Fernandez, 32, and Marquis Sumler, 25, both of New Haven, were taken to area hospitals where they died of their injuries.

A third man was located on 95 Poplar St., suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen and leg. Samuel Maebry, 32, of New Haven, refused to provide information to the police and was taken to an area hospital where he is expected to recover.

The New Haven Major Crimes Unit determined that all three victims were shot inside of 24 Front St. after an ongoing dispute.

Police said the residence on Front Street is known for drug dealing and habitual drug use. The same address has been a target of previous drug investigations, officials said.

Detectives are withholding many details as the investigation continues.
