A celebration of alcoholic cider, or hard cider, is coming to Connecticut.
It starts with Cider Conn in Wallingford on Nov. 9, followed by Cider Week CT at several locations across the state.
Cider Conn takes place at Zandri’s Stillwood Inn in Wallingford on Saturday, Nov. 9, from noon to 3 p.m.
“Cider is an all-American drink, and the apple in Connecticut has a storied past” Ron Sansone, co-founder of the CT Cider Association and owner of Spoke + Spy Ciderworks, said in a statement, “We are lucky to have a great selection of unique regional cideries that we can invite to share in our celebration of cider, we are excited to share the world of cider with our home state!”
Connecticut Cider Association says tickets to Cider Conn are $25 and designated driver tickets are $15.
Ticket holders will be able to enjoy unlimited cider samplings from more than a dozen different cideries.
There will also be food trucks with gluten-free options, kettle corn, a cider doughnut eating contest, a henna artist, and live music from the Podunk Throwbacks.
