A Killingly man succumbed to his injuries when he was hit by a car on Thursday night, police said.
State police said Timothy Spaulding, 52, was walking on the southbound shoulder of Wauregan Road around 1:50 p.m.
Gary Baker, 62, of Dayville, was also driving southbound near Taos Drive when he struck Spaulding with his car.
Spaulding was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The accident is still under investigation.
