Man Arrested in August Ansonia Shooting

Ansonia police arrested a man Thursday suspected of shooting a victim in the torso about two months ago, police said.

Kevin Boyd is facing assault and weapons violation charges in connection to a shooting on Aug. 5 that happened on North Main Street near the Fourth Street intersection, police said.

The victim, Carneggy Lamothe, of Bridgeport, suffered serious injuries after being shot in the torso, police said.

Police charged Boyd with first-degree assault, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, first-degree reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Officers held Boyd in custody on a $250,000 bond and he was arraigned in court.

The case is closed.
