A 19-year-old man was stabbed and assaulted in Willimantic on Tuesday night and police are investigating.
Police said the stabbing happened in the area of 41 Prospect St.
Officers were dispatched around 10:15 p.m. to investigate a disturbance in the roadway and said several cars had been damaged and the crowd dispersed as police arrived.
Soon after, the stabbing victim was brought into the Windham Hospital Emergency Room and was released after being treated.
