As of Sunday, the southbound lane on Route 8 is closed for the next two years.
It's part of the project to repair and replace the bridges on the Mixmaster.
The state Department of Transportation is closing exit 19 from Interstate 84 to Route 8 South said the change is most likely to cause delays during the morning commute.
The DOT said that once replaced, the bridges should last 20 to 25 years.
