A Branford man was killed Monday morning in a crash on Interstate 95 South in Branford.
William Wassmer, 43, was passing the Branford rest area around 6:40 a.m. near exits 52 and 54, when he lost control of the 1996 Ford Explorer he was driving, rolled over and was ejected, police said.
He sustained a serious head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt, according to state police.
