A 21-year-old pizza delivery driver from Wolcott who police said was connected to the rape of two teen girls by DNA evidence is being held on $500,000 bond.
Gani Demiroski appeared in Waterbury Superior Court on Monday for his alleged involvement in the rape of a 17-year-old girl in Watertown in June and a 16-year-old girl in Thomaston in November.
Demiroski was arrested on Friday while working for his family's restaurant and was held over the weekend on $500,000 bail on charges of with first-degree sexual assault, second-degree kidnapping and third-degree assault.
In both assaults, the victim was attacked from behind while walking.
The court documents set a frightening scene in Watertown.
The victim reported walking along Bidwell Hill Road when she saw a shadow of a man around 11:30 p.m. on June 18.
She looked back and saw no one. Then, she was grabbed from behind in a bear hug, hit in the face and pulled into some woods and sexually assaulted, she told police.
