A man is dead and a teen is injured after an altercation and shooting in the Westlake area of Middletown.
Police said the shooting happened Sunday just before 11 a.m. in the area of Highlands Crescent and Stirling Court.

Police identified the man who died as 25-year-old Tylon Hardy, of Middletown. They said he was shot and officers and EMS personnel attempted to revive him, but he died at the scene
Officials initially responded to an altercation in the area, which escalated to a shots fired call.

A 17-year-old was also injured and rushed to the hospital where he remains in stable condition, according to police. Authorities have not released his name.
The shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public or residents in the area, officials said.
Police said the people involved appear to have known one another.

Police previously said a person of interest in the shooting was seen leaving the scene, but said Monday that they are no longer looking to speak to the driver and the car is no longer a vehicle of interest.
