Police have identified the man fatally stabbed in New Haven on Tuesday.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Congress Avenue near Cedar Street around midnight and found 29-year-old Secundino Ramirez on the sidewalk.
An ambulance transported Ramirez to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Police said they learned Ramirez and another man got into an argument and a fight before the stabbing. The other man fled.

This was the third New Haven homicide of 2020. The second homicide of the year was the death of 24-year-old Nathaniel Henry on March 25. The first was 18-year-old Dashown Myers on February 23.
