Police find man's car stolen during Ansonia homicide

A man has died after being shot Friday afternoon in Ansonia and police have found his car that was stolen during the incident.

The shooting happened around 1:40 on Hodge Avenue, according to police.

Abduljalil Humphrey, 30, was shot several times in a driveway of a multi-family home on the street.

Humphrey was taken to Griffin Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Investigators say that Humphrey's car, a black 2019 Hyundai Elantra, was stolen after he had been shot. On Saturday, police said the vehicle had been found.

A red 2018 Chevy Malibu Premier, which was later determined to have been stolen, with Connecticut plates BD 24248 was involved in the shooting and was occupied by at least one person. Investigators are still working to find this vehicle.

The occupants of the Chevrolet are considered to be armed and dangerous. If you see the vehicle, you're urged to not approach it and should call police.
