Police are investigating a gunshot fired in the area of a Hamden pizza shop early on Saturday morning.
Police said they responded to the area of Slyce Pizza, at 141 Arch Street, at 2 a.m. to investigate a report of a gunshot and collected evidence in the parking lot near the Fairview Avenue entrance.
Video surveillance system showed a tall, thin man walk through the parking lot toward Fairview Avenue, pull a handgun out of his jacket pocket and fire it in the direction of the parking lot, police said.
The man who fired the shot and several other people were then seen running north on Fairview Avenue.
There were no reports of injuries or victims.
