Seven people have been arrested after police executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing drug and weapons investigation in Meriden on Monday morning.
Members of the Crime Suppression Unit, Detective Division, Meriden Police SWAT Team and Cheshire/Wallingford Regional SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a home on South First Street around 5 a.m.
While executing the search warrant, officers were able to make multiple felony arrests, police said. The six adults and one juvenile who were arrested are facing various drug, weapons and other charges.
Detectives also retrieved two handguns with a significant amount of ammunition, $4,937 in cash and a considerable amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia, authorities added.
