A motorcyclist from Jewett City was killed in a crash on Route 138 in Voluntown on Thursday morning after hitting a deer and being struck by a car, according to state police.
Peter Kozlowski, 37, of Jewett City, was going east on Route 138 when he hit a deer, lost control of the bike and was hit by another vehicle, police said.
The crash was reported at 5:09 a.m. and Kozlowski was pronounced dead at the scene.
